Welcome to our new sailing web site. Some parts of the site are still under construction, but will soon be finished as well.

Products

In our program we have the Björndahl IOD 95 Optimist, the Björndahl Optischool training dingy and the Charger Norlin Mk3 2.4mR.

History

Charger Composites was founded in June 2002 and produces one model of motor boat (up to December 2005) and Sea Kayaks for a Swedish Kayak company.

On the 1st of January 2006 Charger Composites entered the sailing world, by buying part of the forms, most of the tools and machinery, and taking over all personnel of Vene Björndahl: our sailing department was born.

We started 1,5 years ago with an open mind and realized that we had some great products but that development was necessary.

The Norlin Mk3 2.4mR

The first boat in our program we started to work with was our Flag ship (previously Vene Björndahl's), the Norlin Mk3 2.4mR. We sought the help of some World class sailors like Marko Dahlberg, Ulf Arvidson and Peter Norlin. Together we came up with some changes and we built 3 test boats that they tested throughout the season. At the end of the season we had a brainstorm weekend where Imma and Tom Björndahl joined us and we came up with what we believe is the most optimal production Norlin Mk3 2.4mr ever built.

Optimist and Optischool dinghies

The Optimist and Optischool dinghies will be our next project; we will take our time next winter to see what we can improve on both the products and try to establish a growing dealer network.
